I wanted to try another NARS product to set my foundation. I have been using Maybelline's Dream Matte Powder but I feel like it gives me a white cast in photos so I wanted to try something better. I purchased this powder on Beauty.com when they were having their 20% F&F sale. This is NARS' Pressed Powder in the shade Beach. Beach is described as having deep yellow undertones for medium skin tones. This was the only shade that I felt was appropriate for my skin tone. The "deep yellow undertones" kind of scared me but this shade actually works out really well for me.
I tried this for the first time over Thanksgiving weekend. I wore this over my NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Stromboli and my NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard. This was THE perfect NARS face combination.
This powder had good lasting power. I wore this from 2pm all the way until 2am. We spent one day in New York City and it lasted throughout the trip. When I got home at 2am, I did notice that the foundation started breaking up on my nose (typical me). For 10 hours though, it did last without touching up. I really do like this powder. It didn't keep the foundation from breaking up on my nose like how the Maybelline Dream Matte Powder works for me on a daily basis. This NARS powder, however, did not give me a white cast in photos.
I would probably use this powder for special events where I know pictures will be taken. On a day to day basis, I wouldn't use this because I don't think it controls my oily nose well. Otherwise, it is a really good powder. I would repurchase this in the future.
You can purchase it at Sephora or on Beauty.com.

Mac Technakohl Liner [$16 at MAC]
I have been using this eyeliner for years. Literally, for years. The price has gone up over the years. It is now currently $16. Back in 2008, I went to MAC and asked for an eyeliner that would stay on my waterline all day. They recommended this pencil to me. It is a retractible eyeliner pencil that is definitely long wearing. It does stay on my waterline. This has been one of my most trusted eyeliners I have ever used. I have tried Urban Decay's 24/7 eyeliners but that eyeliner smudges on me. This doesn't.
I will always have this eyeliner pencil in my makeup collection because it is reliable. This pencil comes in a variety of colors but I've only used this shade in Graphblack. It is the darkest shade that they have in this pencil.
I do want to try the Marc Jacob's Highliner in their black shade since I love the pencil shade in TH(INK). Read my review of that pencil [here].
As for now, this pencil has never failed me.
I now have a new love for Marc Jacob's Highliner in Blacquer. Read my review here. I still love this MAC eyeliner but I feel like the Marc pencil has a better staying power.
Found this on amazon.com for about $12
Very pigmented. Use a light hand.
Just saw this on Amazon.com for about $12 and I wanted to try it. Hautelook was selling it for about the same price but it would take forever to come in and I would have to pay for shipping. This was purchased on Amazon + Free shipping. It only took 3-4 days to come in.
The packaging is very cute. It's in a cardboard packaging very similar to Benefit's box blushes. I kind of wish Benefit's blushes were in packaging like this so it's easier to carry around when I travel. It has a magnetic closure which I do like.
This bronzer is very pigmented and is a nice matte contour color. It is so pigmented so be careful and use a light hand with this. Be sure to also blend it out! It can look muddy if not applied correctly (trust me).
Not my all time favorite bronzer but it's nice to try.
I got it [here] I don't get any compensation for sharing where I got it. I just wanted to share :)
I am so obsessed with NARS lately. Beauty.com had a F&F 20% off sale and I knew I had to get something. I decided to get a few NARS items. You can buy it [here]. This lip pencil has been on my wish list for a while now. This is a nice deep berry shade. I like to wear it much darker than the swatch. It looks almost like a deep red when I layer this shade on my lips. Even though it is matte, it does not dry out my lips. This is rare for me to find since most lip products dry out my lips and make them peel. It literally feels like velvet on the lips so their name for this pencil is on point. It has great lasting power and very little transfers. This is so low maintenance to wear. I know that I like to wear darker lip shades but they are usually such high maintenance. Luckily, this one is so easy to wear and I don't have to worry about it getting everywhere.
The one thing that I don't like is that you have to sharpen it. I wish it was retractible. I had to buy a pencil sharpener because I honestly don't have anything to sharpen it with. The sharpener I use for my eyeliners would not be good even though there is a larger slot for larger pencils because the black sharpenings would get all over this lip pencil.
This NARS pencil sharpener was $6 from Sephora. I decided to get it on Sephora just to add something on to get free shipping. Plus I needed this sharpener because of this lip pencil. So far so good! I just wish the lid was more secure on it. I feel like it could easy fall off and get lost.
NARS did an amazing job with this lip pencil and I would like to try more shades.
NARS Guy Bourdin One Night Stand Palette. Available at Sephora stores (Sold out online) [$65]
NARS x Guy Bourdin
The name of the shades are not on the back. They are however listed on the box.

Typical Nars plastic cover
top row: Devotee, Mistinguette, Orgasm
bottom row: Laguna, Deep Throat, Goulue
Devotee (highlighter)/ Laguna (Bronzer/Contour)
Mistinguette (new shade) / Deep Throat
Orgasm/ Goulue (appears darker in person but in the photo it looks almost like Orgasm)
This palette comes with three permanent shades and three new shades. I've always wanted to try Laguna, Orgasm and Deep Throat so I figure this would be the perfect palette!
All of the shades are 0.4g. That may not seem like a lot but it's a great palette to have all of these shades in. It's not like I'm actually going to use this all up any time soon (i hope).
My favorite shades are Laguna for my contour and Deep throat for blush. All of the shades go well with my MAC NC30 skin tone and the blushes last long on my face. Recently I have been using my NARS Sheer Glow Foundation and the blushes work perfectly on it. All of the shades are beautiful and I highly recommend getting this at a Sephora store. It is now sold out online! I can't believe how quickly it sold out.
Hope this was helpful!
