NC30 Foundation Matches for Estee Lauder Double Wear, NARS Sheer Glow, and Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation
I've done a previous post on this before but I wanted to do an update with more shades that I have been using from different brands. I compare these to a MAC NC30 for reference. I don't really wear MAC's Studio Fix Fluid anymore because I found so many foundations that work better with my skin and has what I want in a foundation.
Estee Lauder Double Wear in 2W2 Rattan. I originally purchased this in the shade 3W1 Tawny. I really liked it at first but I felt like it oxidized, which made me look to have a deeper skin tone than I truly have. Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation is everything I wanted MAC Studio Fix Fluid to be. It's long wearing, matches my skin well, and gives me a flawless finish. I like make up to be fuss free throughout the day. This foundation can withstand heat, humidity, and I feel like it's waterproof. I live on the east coast now and it's super hot and humid. This foundation can easily last all day. I can easily wear this for over 10 hours on a work day and it still looks great by the end of the day. Another plus to this foundation is that my boyfriend complimented my skin when I wore this. He even asked me what I was wearing on my face because it looked really good. Compliments like that makes me love it even more! It retails for $37. This could be my new favorite :)
NARS Sheer Glow in Stromboli has always been my go to shade in Sheer Glow. Works well. Always looks great. Read my review on it [here].
NARS Sheer Glow in Punjab. Since my beloved shade in Stromboli was sold out for a couple of months, I really needed to get another one ASAP. I decided to try another shade that has also been recommended for NC30 skin tones. Punjab may now be my absolute favorite shade for NARS Sheer Glow. I still love Stromboli (don't get me wrong) but this is just a tad bit lighter and blends well with my skin. I thought it was super light on me at first but it actually blends in nicely. Either Stromboli or Punjab work well for me. I still wear both shades and don't notice a difference. I tried Punjab in Sheer Matte and hated it. The matte formula is definitely NOT for anyone with DRY skin. The sales associate at Sephora said that I can use Sheer Matte in Punjab and it would well with my skin. Unfortunately, it did not work out for me. I should have known better.
Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation in 842 Medium Beige. I have gone through two full bottles of this foundation this year alone. I originally got one in January and then another one a couple of months later. Now I have purchased my third one and it's been 6 months since I purchased my original one. Just yesterday, I bought another one as a back up. I think I go through this foundation quicker is because I use it most often. I use it for work, school, every day life, etc. I seriously love this foundation. It is the best foundation in the drugstore I have ever tried. It is hands down one of the best foundations I have ever used of all time. It's affordable, lasts ALL day, and looks flawless on the skin. This foundation applies well with the beauty blender or your fingers. I cannot use this with a brush because it just doesn't look right. I wouldn't wear this to special events only because I'm afraid of the flashback from the SPF that's in it but even with flash photography, it isn't too bad. For special events, I still prefer to wear my NARS Sheer Glow. It has a more natural finish that I appreciate more in photography. Read my original review on this foundation [here]. I can trust this foundation to last me all day.
I love to keep trying new foundations so if you have any suggestions for me let me know! I'm a MAC NC30 for reference.
