Before using the Dr. Bronner Castile Soap
After! So easy to use and definitely cleaned up my beauty blender great.

I was on Pinterest a few weeks ago and was searching for ideas to clean my apartment. I stumbled upon a picture of this soap that claimed it was a dupe for the Beauty Blender Solid Cleanser. For under $5, I knew I wanted to try it. After reading reviews online and watching YouTube videos, I was convinced and went right over to Target to try and find it. I found it in the beauty aisle where they keep all their organic products. As soon as I smelled the soap, I knew I had to get it. It smells just like the Beauty Blender Cleanser.

One thing I love about it is that it is made with all organic ingredients that is certified fair trade. It literally is a 'good soap'.

When I got home, I quickly took pictures for my blog and tried it out. I took all of my dirty Beauty Blenders, Real Technique Sponges, and all of my dirty brushes. This worked great! I couldn't believe how easy it was to use. I do recommend getting a soap case just to keep it sanitary and easy to store.

I do think it is comparable to the Beauty Blender Solid Cleanser, if not better. The Beauty Blender Cleanser comes in 1oz. while the Dr. Bronner Magic Soap comes with 5 oz. of product. This is a no brainer. The Dr. Bronner soap works as effectively as the Solid Cleanser, less expensive, and comes with more product. Choosing this over the beauty blender solid cleanser is definitely a no brainer. Try it out! I'm sure you'll love it.

Don't get me wrong, I really do like the Beauty Blender Solid Cleanser but it really is too expensive for me and my budget to keep repurchasing it every two-three months. Read my original review on the cleanser [here]

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NC20, NC25, NW25

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer ($20)

NC20, NC25, NW25

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer is my favorite concealer of all time. I've used this concealer for a little over 2 years and purchased a few shades over time. It lasts all day and does not crease. I wear this concealer under my eyes. I apply with my fingers and blend with a Beauty Blender.

Now, why do I have three? I couldn't decide on a shade that worked best for me. I initially tried NW25 because I used this shade in the Studio Finish Concealer. It worked well but I found that it was  a little darker than the studio finish concealer. I went to MAC to try to find another shade when I ran out of the NW25 and the MAC sales associate recommended I try NC20. NC20 is great to highlight under the eyes but it was just a tad bit too light. Finally, I decided to try NC25 and it matches just right. Perfect under the eyes and goes perfectly with all of my foundations. For reference I wear NC30 in their Studio Fix Foundation.

This has been a great concealer to use. I like 'fuss free' make up. When I use this concealer, I don't have to worry about it. All shades I chose work well. They vary slightly but NC25 works best for me and what I want to use it for. It conceals under my eyes and adds a little coverage. If I want an extra highlight then I will use NC20. If I wear concealer and a powder foundation only, then I'll choose to wear NW25.

I highly recommend this concealer. It works well and never fails me.

Products I've Used Up - Product Empties (in the past few months)

I bought this foundation in 2012 and just finished it earlier last month (August 2014). All in all a great foundation. I would definitely repurchase this foundation in the future. I just have to finish all of my foundations I have now before I think about buying anything else. This foundation was in the shade 5.0 which I thought was great for NC35 skin tones. For an NC30 skin tone, I will try the shade 4.0, which I think may suit me better.

NARS Powder Foundation in Beach

Finished it completely but the edges of the powder cracked. I wasn't able to use it anymore.
Great powder foundation! Worked well with the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation. It applied smoothly and evenly on the skin. I would definitely repurchase in the future.

Marc Jacobs Highliner in Th(INK)
I love this eyeliner and have already repurchased another one in the same color (among other colors). I highly recommend this eyeliner! Read my post on the eyeliners [here]

Maybelline Dream Wonder Powder

I really enjoyed this powder and have already repurchased another one in the shade Nude. Nude is best suited for NC30 skin tones as a powder to set liquid foundation. This powder is great for every day. I would not recommend it in flash photography because it gave an awful white cast.

I got this as a free sample from Ulta. It worked well but it was not my favorite. I didn't like the smell and it didn't really remove all of the make up from my brushes or my beauty blenders.

Other items not shown completed:

- Anatasia Brow Wiz: This is my favorite eyebrow pencil and continue to repurchase over and over again. Read my full review [here].

- Covergirl Outlast 3-in-1 foundation: This is one my all time favorite foundations. I continue to purchase this over and over again. Read my review [here].

Marc Jacobs Highliner - Bla(quer), Ro(COCOA), Th(INK), Plum(AGE) - Collective Review

Marc by Marc Jacobs Highliner ($25 each at Sephora, Marc Jacob stores, and Marc Jacobs online)

I purchased four colors.

Twist up pencil with a built in pencil sharpener.

Ro(cocoa), Th(ink), Plum(age), Bla(quer)
Retails for $25 each.

Marc Jacobs' highliner pencils are my absolute favorite eyeliner for the waterline. The pencils have a creamy formula that lasts all day. It does not budge or fade away from the waterline. I usually wear this eyeliner on a daily basis. It has replaced all of my eyeliners I had used in the past.

I had collected four colors over the past year. I love each one equally. Although they are different colors, they have a similar factor -- they all appear black or dark on the waterline. I like the fact that the colorful shades give a hint of color but remains to appear black. Some people may complain of it because what's the point of having a colorful eyeliner that doesn't look like the color. To me, it makes a subtle difference that I appreciate.

I will continue to purchase these in the future. I highly recommend these eyeliners if you're looking for an eyeliner with excellent staying power. Trust me, it lasts all day!

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara - Review

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara Duo Set ($23)

I originally got a deluxe sample as a 100-point perk from Sephora a few months ago. Read my initial review [here].

This has been the best mascara for my stubborn lashes. I simply love the way this mascara makes my lashes look. The formula and the brush are a perfect combination. When I use this, I immediately see volume and length. I would normally have to use many coats of other mascaras just to get the results from using this mascara with one coat. The brush instantly clings to my lashes, which makes it a breeze to get an all over even coat.

I finished my deluxe sample and decided to buy the full size from Sephora. I found a set with a full size mascara and a travel size mascara for $23. The full size mascara itself retails for $23 so seeing this set made it a no-brainer to buy it.

This is hands down my favorite mascara of all time. I was surprised to see how heavy the tube is of the full size. I love how it's weighted. To me, products that have weight feels more luxurious. Is that just me? Regardless, I love the packaging and the product itself.

I highly highly highly recommend this mascara!

Anastasia Beverly Hills - Brow Wiz - Soft Brown

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Soft Brown. OBVIOUSLY my favorite.

I always use soft brown. Best shade for me.

Fine and thin mechanical pencil.

Best spoolie to blend out the pencil.

Retails for $21

Swatch of the pencil. I tried to draw on an eyebrow on my arm lol.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz ($21 at Sephora)

I have been using this brow pencil for a while now and it has become my absolute favorite. It allows me to fill in my very sparse eyebrows. I've always had such a hard time with my eyebrows. Previously I had used MAC's brow pencil and Rimmel's brow pencil but discontinued using them after discovering Anastasia's Brow Wiz.

It allows me to create the perfect brow shape without looking harsh. This pencil is practically fool proof. It's really hard to make errors with it. I practically have to draw my eyebrows on because of how sparse my eyebrows are. I get complements every time I do my make up and often get asked about my eyebrows. I've even had a woman stop me at the mall to ask me who does my eyebrows. I told her that my eyebrows look horrible without make up and that I use Anastasia's Brow Wiz every day to fix them.

This pencil lasts all day and does not budge (even on the most humid days here on the East Coast). I have naturally dark black/brown hair. Soft brown is a little lighter than my hair color but still appears natural.

I love this pencil and recommend it to anyone.

VIB Rouge - Welcome Kit

Serious beauty addiction is right.

It came with the cutest little Bite Beauty lipstick.

It's super tiny but I doubt I would ever finish it all up completely.

What. Just. Happened!?

I hit VIB rouge on my last trip to Sephora. I purchased my favorite Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara and BAM... Rouge. VIB rouge is Sephora's top level membership that they offer. Not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing, right?! Basically means I've spent an insane amount of money on make up in less than a year. Thanks to all the people who got me here lol my sister and my boyfriend :)

Expect more beauty product reviews in the near future. I'm excited to share my thoughts on a bunch of new products I've been trying lately.
